GENERAL

 

FINAL EXAMS FOR GRADES 9, 10, AND 11 ARE AS FOLLOWS:

 

Tuesday, June 1  -  periods 4 and 5

Wednesday, June 2  -  periods 3 and 6

Thursday, June 3  -  periods 2 and 7 / 1

 

NO STUDENT SUMMONS DURING FINAL EXAMS:  STUDENTS please note, there are NO student summons delivered during Final Exams.  Please do not call your parents and ask them to excuse you early for any reason.  The Attendance Office WILL NOT deliver student summons during Final Exams to remove you from class.  All students need to stay during the entire final exam period out of respect for all the other classes in exams.

 

LOST/CONFISCATED ELECTRONIC DEVICES:  There are many devices in the Assistant Principals office.  Please go to the Assistant Principals office to claim what may belong to you.  Please bring your ID to expedite your claim.

 

REVOLUTION PREP SUMMER SESSION SAT CLASSES-- Attention sophomores and juniors- summer SAT classes are being offered  here at Canyon on Tuesdays and Thursdays during the summer.  For more information, stop by E5 to see Ms. Jones or visit revolutionprep.com.  The summer is a great time to get ahead, Cowboys!

 

GIRLS GOLF is looking for golfers for the 2010 Fall season. Please see Coach Lee in E1 for more information.

 

CSF - Students expecting to become members of CSF next fall should pick up the volunteer-hours form this week at lunch, in room C8. Getting the form now will allow you to get the required signatures while you do you summer volunteering.  Only juniors and seniors will need to complete volunteer hours.  Freshmen and fall Sophomores are exempt from the requirement.  Remember, CSF matters will be handled at lunch only and not during any other time of the day.

 

JUNIORS AND SENIORS:  There are still scholarships available!!  There is a $1000 scholarship for any junior or senior.  All you need to do is write a 500 to 1000 word essay about "What do you see as the long term impact of our current recession on the average family?  How might it affect your future decisions?"   Email your essay to [email protected] by June 19th.  The money will awarded within 2 weeks of the deadline!

 

 

 

 

MEETINGS

 

MATH CLUB:  Interested in joining Math Club next year?  Please come to an informational meeting TODAY at lunch in room G-204.

 

YOUNG POLITICIANS:  The final meeting of the year for the Young Politicians will be held today, Thursday, during lunch in room A-6.  Please bring money for your graduation sash, and we'll see you today, at lunch, in A-6.

 

OPERATION SMILES:  Last meeting of the semester is TODAY at lunch in room F-6. 

 

SENIORS

 

SENIORS: Do you owe any textbooks, library books, fines or delinquencies?  All textbooks and library books must be turned in and fines paid by TODAY.  All fines and delinquencies must be paid in cash, no checks.  Your senior activities may be restricted if you have not cleared your accounts.  If you have any questions or concerns check with Mrs. Kulesz in the textbook center or Ms. Rehder in the ASB office.
