GENERAL

 

COME OUT AND WATCH YOUR JUNIOR AND SENIOR GIRLS battle it out on the football field.  Powder Puff is May 21.  The game starts at 6:00 and it is $2.00 to get in…  Don’t forget to bring money for Pizza and Juice It Up!!

 

HEY COWBOYS!!  Spring Spirit is right around the corner!!

MONDAY:  PJ Day

TUESDAY:  Sports Day

WEDNESDAY:  Nerd Day and Food Day (so bring your money)

THURSDAY:  Disney Day

FRIDAY:  Cowboy Pride Day, Student Talent Rally and Powder Puff game

 

WE HAVE EXTENDED THE ENTRY DEADLINE FOR THE LET ME DANCE MARATHON!!  It is this Saturday, May 15th from 11 am to 10 pm in the main gym.  Proceeds will benefit LETMESAIL, a therapeutic organization for mentally disabled individuals in Santa Clarita.  All you have to do is fill out a couple of forms and raise a little bit of money.  Then you turn in it in to Ms. King in room G-105 and get to have a blast dancing with all of your friends one last time! Who says you can't have fun *and* help those in need.

 

ATTENTION STUDENTS AND FACULTY:  ALL Library books are due back by Friday, May 14.  Please return your books on time.  If you are a senior, you must be sure to return your books and pay any fines in order to graduate.  You do not want a fine to keep you from graduating.  Thank you.

SENIORS

 

SENIOR SCHOLARSHIPS:  Tim and Danny Renolds Memorial Scholarship:  Tim and Danny were two special Canyon brothers who were tragically killed.  Every year, their parents award a $500 dollar scholarship to a senior male athlete in their honor.  If you have a GPA between 2.5 and 3.5 and plan to go to go a trade school, community college, or university, please pick up an application in the counseling office.   The deadline for this scholarship is May 14th. 

 

SCHOLARSHIP:  Are you planning a major in college like public relations, advertising, marketing, graphic arts, journalism, ration, TV, or film?  The Santa Clarita Valley Press Club has a scholarship for you.  Applications are due May 24th.  Please pick one up in the counseling office if interested.

 

ANY SENIOR wishing to audition for Senior Speaker for Graduation should sign up in Assistant Principals Office and pick up a speech/audition information sheet.  Please do this as soon as possible.  Audition sign-ups will end on May 17.  Auditions will be on the morning of May 21. 

Sign up early to get the audition time of your choice!!  If you have any questions, please see Mr. Getz in the AP office. 

 

SENIORS!  Do you still want to go to Grad Night??  Well it’s not too late.  Tickets are on sale for $100 in the front of the ASB Office.  Remember to buy them before May 21!! Don’t miss out on ALLTHE FUN!

 

ARE YOU ATTENDING COC IN THE FALL?  If you are, please come to the B-Lecture Hall on Thursday, May 13th at Lunch, where a representative from COC will be explaining their new FYE program.  The First-Year Experience Program was designed to assist students with the difficult transition from high school to college.  COC’s FYE Program also guarantees that first-time college students will have access to general studies courses in their first year.  There are many other valuable advantages available to students in the FYE Program.  Please join us in the B-Lecture Hall TODAY at lunch to learn more. 

 

ATTENTION ALL NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY MEMBERS: hours sheets and $15 for senior sashes are due on May 18th.
