GENERAL

THE LIBRARY AND TEXTBOOK CENTER will be closed on Monday, April 12th.

ATTENTION ALL STUDENTS GOING TO PROM- You need to be at Canyon and in your prom room on Sat by 5pm.   Promenade will start after everyone is in their rooms.  Don't forget your ID.  You must have your ID to check into your room!

CHOIR AUDITIONS--If you are interested in being a member of one of the fabulous choirs here at Canyon, you must audition.  Auditions will take place on May 10th, 12th & 13th beginning at 2:15 p.m. in the choir room.  Keep listening to the announcements to find out about audition sign ups which will be at the end of the month.  We are looking for those talented singers who haven't joined choir yet. 

TUTORING TUESDAYS is happening this week in the library.  Come to the library after school on Tuesday and get help in all your subjects.  Math, English, Econ, Spanish, and Social Studies help is available.  Hang out with your friends, study, use the computers, and improve your grades.  We'll see you Tuesday in the library after school.

DO YOU LOVE TO COOK?  Want to be a chef?  Have you taken Culinary Arts 1 and 2?  Sign up for Advanced Culinary Arts 1 for next semester.  You must have an A or B in Culinary 1 and 2.  See Miss Butler in D3.

GET TOUGH—POWDER PUFF!!  It is that time of the year again.  The 2010 Powder Puff Football game will be on May 21!  This activity is only for juniors and seniors.  Pick up an application at the ASB Office.  All applications are due Friday, April 16 at the ASB Office!

ROP CLASSES AUG 2010:  ANY STUDENT WHO WOULD LIKE TO SIGN UP FOR AN ROP CLASS STARTING IN THE FALL OF 2010 NEEDS TO GO SEE MRS. OKRONICK NOW

CAREER CENTER NEWS

COC OPEN HOUSE:  A special Open House at COC's Canyon Country campus has been scheduled for Thursday, April 22 from 5:30 - 7:00 p.m.  Take a campus tour, learn about financial aid, summer classes and meet with representatives from the counseling department.  Stop by the Career Center for additional details!

DISCOVERING CAREERS DAY is a community wide career awareness event!  Meet with attorneys, engineers, fashion designers, fire fighters, health care professionals and more!  Observe demonstrations and meet with business partners at Discovering Careers Day on Saturday, April 17 at COC from 9 - 1.  Stop by the Career Center for details!

AIR FORCE VISITATION:  Meet with representatives from the U.S. Air Force during second brunch on the outdoor stage on Thursday, April 15 and explore career opportunities in the Air Force.
