GENERAL

ROP CLASSES AUG 2010:  ANY STUDENT WHO WOULD LIKE TO SIGN UP FOR AN ROP CLASS STARTING IN THE FALL OF 2010 NEEDS TO GO SEE MRS. OKRONICK NOW

PROM PRICES are $245 per couple today and tomorrow.

MIN DAY:  All Canyon students are reminded that when we have minimum day, they may NOT visit other campuses, including Sierra Vista.  Other schools are in full day session and it is a trespassing violation to be on their campus while their school is in session.  Avoid disciplinary action and a trespassing ticket!  Do not visit other schools when Canyon has a minimum day!

READY FOR AN HOUR OF LAUGHS? CANYON THEATRE presents a public performance of their children's production, "The Magic Golden Apples" this Saturday March 27th! Shows are at 12:00 PM and 2:00 PM. Tickets are $5 or $3 with an ASB card. Bring the kids or just your "inner kid!"

SUMMER SCHOOL:  If you turned in your Summer School forms and they were returned to you—please complete the highlighted area on the form and return to the Summer School basket in the front office.

ARE YOU LOOKING FOR AN EVENING FULL OF MUSIC AND FUN?  Then come to Jazz/Pop this Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. in the CHS Gym.  Tickets are $5 with your ASB Card and $7 without.  We hope to see you there!!

CONGRATULATIONS to Yebon Oh!  He won the Book Fair pretzel contest.  He had exactly the right number!  Please come to the library to pick up your prize.

CHOIR FUND RAISER:  Sunday, March 28 at Menchie’s Frozen Yogurt from 11 am – 10 pm and Panda Express from 11:00 am – 9:00 pm. 

HEY KEY CLUBBERS:  Do you need hours?  Then sign up for the Percy Knox Track Meet on Saturday, March 27 at COC.  Go to V-1 for more information.  Don’t forget about the Key Club meeting on

March 30.  Wear your Key Club shirts and volunteer for recycling. 

LIMO DRAWING: Do you want to go to the Prom in a limo?  Well now is your chance---buy a ticket from any ASB member.  Tickets are $2.00 each.  You and 8 to 10 friends can win a limo to and from Prom.  Buy your tickets now! 

CAREER CENTER NEWS

APPRENTICESHIP OPPORTUNITY:  The Motion Picture Employers and I.B.E.W. Union Local 40 (Electrical Wiremen) Joint Apprenticeship Committee will accept applications from Monday, May 17 - Friday May 21 in Burbank from 8:00 - 4:30.  Pick up flyers that list application requirements in the Career Center.

RESUME RALLY AT COC:  Meet with professionals who will assist you with your resume!  Meetings will take place on Tuesday, March 30 from 10 - 6 at the Valencia campus and Wednesday, March 31 from 10 - 2 at the Canyon Country campus.  Create a new professional resume, identify your skills and qualifications and prepare for the upcoming Job Fairs.  Pick up a flyer in the Career Center.
