GENERAL
HEY COWBOYS!! DON’T FORGET TO CHANGE YOUR CLOCKS SATURDAY NIGHT. Move them ahead one hour Saturday night.
SAFE RIDES: Students you can save a life by volunteering only one night a month. Safe Rides is holding a volunteer training on March 27th at the City Activity Center from 10am to 3pm. Volunteers must be between the age of 15 and 18. For more information go to www.scvsaferides.com. or pick up a flyer in the ASB office. Safe Rides is a great way to get community service hours.
SUMMER SCHOOL FORMS: Summer school forms have arrived and are available in the Front Office by Mrs. Ruppert. You may come by before or after school, or during brunch or lunch to pick up the forms. Priority registration will be given to students who return their forms to the Counseling Office by June 3, 2010. Parent signatures are required on all forms.
STUDENTS & FACULTY: Book Fair is coming to Canyon High. It will be here during the week of March 15-19. It will be held in H1 and open during brunch and lunch. There will be a variety of books for everyone in the family. Come and check it out and participate in the contest to identify the number of pretzels in the container. A prize will be given to the student who comes closest.
REVELUTION PREP SAT CLASSES-- Juniors! Does the thought of the SAT keep you up at night? Do you have nightmares about writing an essay in just 25 minutes? Lucky for you, Revolution Prep is offering an SAT class right here on campus with your very own Ms. Jones. Don't have the cash? Revolution offers scholarships to deserving students too. Classes start this weekend, so sign up at revolutionprep.com today or visit Ms. Jones in E5 for more information.
YES-YOUTH EMPLOYMENT SERVICES: A program run by the City of Santa Clarita have summer jobs available for youth. Age 14-18. The program is open for students in Special Education, from Low-Income households or considered at-risk. Pick up application from Mrs. Rincon in G-124.
AP EXAM REGISTRATION has started and runs through TODAY 1:00 PM. Students may register before school, brunch or during lunch in the ASB office. The fee for each test is $86, unless the student participate in the free or reduced lunch program. Students can see Mrs. Haro in the AP office to learn about this program. Don’t forget to sign up!!! NO LATE REGISTRATION WILL BE ACCEPTED

SENIORS
SENIOR STARS: If you have been accepted to a 4-year college or university and plan on attending that school in the fall, please see Mrs. Hettema in the counseling office. We will make a star in your honor and place it on the Senior Stars bulletin board in the display case outside of our office. Also, if you have received notice of an: scholarships or awards, please let Mrs. Hettema know.
