GENERAL

TUTORING Tuesdays is happening this week in the library.  Come to the library after school on Tuesday and get help in all your subjects.  Math, English, Econ, Spanish, and Social Studies help is available.  Hang out with your friends, study, use the computers, and improve your grades.  We'll see you Tuesday in the library after school.

EXECUTIVE SPEECHES:  Come to the Outdoor Stage at lunch tomorrow, Tuesday, to hear your Executive Cabinet candidates speak on why they should be chosen as your ASB Officers.  Come and listen to their speeches. 

MOCK ACT THIS SATURDAY-- Cowboys- do you even know what the ACT is?  It's a test many colleges accept in place of or with the SAT, and there's a $20 practice ACT this Saturday at 9 in E5 here at Canyon.  If you're interested, sign up at revolutionprep.com or stop by to see Ms. Jones in E5. 

ROP CLASSES-- AUG 2010:  ANY STUDENT WHO WOULD LIKE TO SIGN UP FOR AN ROP CLASS STARTING IN THE FALL OF 2010 NEEDS TO GO SEE MRS. OKRONICK NOW

WINTER FORMAL PICTURES:  Are available to pick up in the ASB Office.

PROM paperwork will be available outside of the ASB office starting today.

ATTENTION STUDENTS & FACULTY:  We have several new books in the library.  Here are some of them:  Raven Summer by David Almond, The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman, How to Say Goodbye to a Robot by Natalie Standiford, and Winter's End by Jean-Claude Mourlevat.  Come in and check them out.

DIVE, DUCK,DODGE!  Dodge Ball sign ups are taking place in C-5 at both brunches and at lunch. Get your team together and sign up this week in C-5!

MR. CANYON: The date of the annual Mr. Canyon pageant had been changed to TONIGHT, at 7:00 p.m.  Tickets are $4 presale and $5 at the door.  Come out and see your Senior boys strut their stuff for the title of Mr. Canyon!!

CAREER CENTER NEWS

J0B FAIR AT SIX FLAGS MAGIC MOUNTAIN:  Are you looking for employment?  Magic Mountain will hold a job fair on Sat., 2/27 and Sun., 2/28.  You must apply on-line prior to attending the job fair @ six flagsjobs.com.  Remember to dress for success!  Stop by the Career Center for additional details.

MEETINGS

BOYS GOLF MEETING: There will be a mandatory meeting of the boy’s golf team, TODAY at 2:30 at Vista Valencia golf course in the clubhouse. THIS IS A MANDATORY MEETING, all players must attend if they wish to remain on the team. Do NOT be late. If you are missing paperwork, or still need to turn in spirit packs, please see Coach Lee ASAP.

NATIONAL ART HONOR SOCIETY MEETING on Thursday Feb. 25th in room T4. We are taking the club picture! All members must attend.

SENIORS:  Now is the time to get serious about your scholarship applications.  There are thousands of dollars waiting to be claimed.  There are over 100 scholarships on the Canyon website that are due in February and March.  Please go to the home page and click on Scholarship information on the right hand side.  All the links are listed for you.  Don't miss out on the opportunity of free money for college!!
