GENERAL 

 

SUPPLEMENTAL PROGRESS REPORTS:  If you would like to receive a supplemental progress report, please see Mrs. Hettema in the Counseling Office between 7:30am and 8:00am Friday morning to pick one up.  If you have a 7:00am class, you may pick one up today after your last class.

 

HEY KEY CLUBBERS!!!  If you missed the meeting, pick up your agenda in V-1 and come buy your American Apparel sweaters, or ask an officer.

                    

STUDENTS: Please turn in your Tentative Spring Schedule Lists TODAY if you feel that there is an error in the listing or you changed your mind regarding an elective listed. IF your list is correct, you do not need to turn anything into the Counseling Office. A special thanks to the teachers for their help in getting these lists out to the students!

 

THE VALENCIA LIBRARY will be closed from 12/7 to 2/1/10 for remodeling.

 

THE DRAMA DEPARTMENT PRESENTS "FLOWERS FOR ALGERNON" - a compelling drama based on the novel by Daniel Keyes. Free student show at 3:15 on Wednesday. Other dates: Friday, December 4th at 7 PM and Saturday, December 5th at 2 PM and 7 PM. Tickets are $10 or $8 with ASB card. Don't miss this gripping show!

 

STUDENTS!! Answer the Trivia questions from the TVs in the reference section of the library and the first 20 students to get all the answers will get a treat.

 

SUMMER MELTDOWN FUNDRAISER this Friday at MOUNTASIA!!! For just $19.99 get 3-hour UNLIMITED PLAY on GO KARTS, BUMPER BOATS, ROCK WALL, LASER TAG, MINIATURE GOLF, and regular VIDEO GAMES from 4pm-midnight.  This is usually a $30 value.  50% of each pass will go towards the production of the Summer Meltdown featuring SHWAYZE and FRIENDS!!!!!!!!!! 

 

HOLIDAY GRAMS:  Are you looking for an easy way to show your friends you are thinking about them this Holiday Season?  Then buy them a Holiday Gram!!  They are only $5 and can be bought from any ASB member or outside J-1 during brunch or lunch.  They include a candy cane, balloon and a card with a message.  They will be sold till December 9th so buy them now!

 

KEY CLUB MOVIE NIGHT:  Key Club Movie night is Friday, December 4 at 6 p.m. in room G-105.  Bring money for refreshments and donations.  Proceeds go to Pediatric Trauma Prevention.  Key clubbers get hours ---but everyone is welcome.

 

 

 

 

CAREER CENTER NEWS

 

UC IRVINE STAY-OVER PROGRAM:  UC Irvine will host a Stay-Over Program beginning in January, 2010.  Juniors and seniors will have an opportunity stay over for one night and experience both academics as well as campus life while staying in the residence halls.  Stop by the Career Center for details!

 

MEETINGS

 

YOUNG POLITICIANS CLUB:  The Young Politicians Club will meet today, Thursday, during lunch in A-6.  We'll be having our photo taken for Yearbook and also will be discussing the President's Afghanistan proposal.  Please plan to attend today's gather, at lunch, in A-6, and bring your ideas and thoughts ... everyone is welcome to attend.

 

STUDENT TASK FORCE:  There is a Student Task Force meeting TODAY at lunch.  We are taking our yearbook photo so wear your STF Shirt!!

 

BIBLE CLUB:  Meets in the Choir Room today at lunch.

DIPLOMA NAME FORM: Your Government or Economics teachers will be asking you to complete the Diploma Name Form during your class.  Please print your legal first, middle and last names.  This will help to insure the correct spelling on your diploma and the way that it will appear.  If you don't receive one, you may pick up the form in the Counseling Office.
