GENERAL

NO PARKING IN THE DIRT ON THURSDAY: Students and Staff will NOT be allowed to park in the dirt area directly across from school this Thursday, December 3rd. Please notice you'll need to park further down the street on Nadal, or use the main student & staff parking lot. Another parking option is the fenced in dirt area on Nadal by the baseball field. There will be signs posted on Wednesday evening, blocking off this area. Please plan ahead. Other parts of Nadal will be open. Just not in front of the main Admin building.
STUDENTS: Please turn in your Tentative Spring Schedule Lists TODAY if you feel that there is an error in the listing or you changed your mind regarding an elective listed. IF your list is correct, you do not need to turn anything into the Counseling Office. A special thanks to the teachers for their help in getting these lists out to the students!
THURSDAY LUNCH MATH TUTORING will be held on Wednesday instead. Math tutoring at lunch in G-219 on Wednesday!
THE VALENCIA LIBRARY will be closed from 12/7 to 2/1/10 for remodeling.
THE DRAMA DEPARTMENT PRESENTS "FLOWERS FOR ALGERNON" - a compelling drama based on the novel by Daniel Keyes. Free student show at 3:15 on Wednesday. Other dates: Friday November 4th at 7 PM and Saturday November 5th at 2 PM and 7 PM. Tickets are $10 or $8 with ASB card. Don't miss this gripping show!
STUDENTS!! Answer the Trivia questions from the TVs in the reference section of the library and the first 20 students to get all the answers will get a treat.
SUMMER MELTDOWN FUNDRAISER this Friday at MOUNTASIA!!! For just $19.99 get 3-hour UNLIMITED PLAY on GO KARTS, BUMPER BOATS, ROCK WALL, LASER TAG, MINIATURE GOLF, and regular VIDEO GAMES from 4pm-midnight. This is usually a $30 value. 50% of each pass will go towards the production of the Summer Meltdown featuring SHWAYZE and FRIENDS!!!!!!!!!! See you there! =)
HOLIDAY GRAMS: Are you looking for an easy way to show your friends you are thinking about them this Holiday Season? Then buy them a Holiday Gram!! They are only $5 and can be bought from any ASB member or outside J-1 during brunch or lunch. They include a candy cane, balloon and a card with a message. They will be sold till December 9th so buy them now!
KEY CLUB MOVIE NIGHT: Key Club Movie night is Friday, December 4 at 6 p.m. in room G-105. Bring money for refreshments and donations. Proceeds go to Pediatric Trauma Prevention. Key clubbers get hours ---but everyone is welcome.
MEETINGS
AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY meets at lunch in C7 today.
THE EQUESTRIAN CLUB will meet in room H-1 at lunch on Wednesday December 2nd. Please bring whatever "Goodies" you want to share, and be prepared to discuss past and up-coming events and stories. We wioll have a "Rose Parade" update as well.
STUDENT TASK FORCE: There is a Student Task Force meeting Thursday at lunch. We are taking our yearbook photo so wear your STF Shirt!!

SENIORS
DIPLOMA NAME FORM: Your Government or Economics teachers will be asking you to complete the Diploma Name Form during your class. Please print your legal first, middle and last names. This will help to insure the correct spelling on your diploma and the way that it will appear. If you don't receive one, you may pick up the form in the Counseling Office.
LETTERS OF RECOMMENDATION: Students must give the counselors 7-10 days advance notice for letters of recommendations. Make sure you complete a request for a letter of recommendation form before you give your application to your counselor. (See Mrs. Hettema in the Counseling Office if you need a form).
STAFF
ECON AND GOVERNMENT TEACHERS: Today, Wednesday, 12/2, the Diploma Name forms will be in your mailboxes for all seniors in your classes to complete. Please have seniors write their complete first, middle, and last name as it is on their birth certificate. Please return the forms to Mrs. Hettema in the Counseling Office by 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 9.
