GENERAL

CIF FOOTBALL PLAYOFFS:  Hey Cowboys----Come on out Friday night to Moorpark High School for round one of CIF Football playoffs!!  Tickets are on sale in the ASB Office.  $ 8.00 for adults, $5.00 for children 13 and under.  If you show your Canyon ID the tickets are $5.00.  KICKOFF IS AT 7:00 P.M.

BASEBALL TRY-OUTS will be held November 23 and 24 from 3 to 5 pm.  See Coach Schulhofer in B-5 to sign up.

BOYS GOLF TRYOUTS:  Boys interested in trying out for the 2010 Canyon Golf team must come to tryouts Thursday of this week at Vista Valencia between 2 and 4 o'clock. Please bring clubs, proper attire and $20 for green fees and range balls. See Coach Lee in E1 for details.

INTRAMURAL SOCCER sign ups are taking place in room C-5 at both brunches and at lunch! Sign up with your team or sign up on your own, and we will get you on a team! 

AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY: Today is the Great American Smokeout, so don't smoke today, or ever in an effort to affect the tobacco industry, and save lives!

CSF MEMBERS: If you would like to pick up the volunteer-hours sheet in order to begin getting signatures for the ten hours due in January, come to room C8 at lunch on Thursday or Friday of this week.  Forms will be handed out at no other time.

JUNIORS AND SENIORS: Do you enjoy helping others? Maybe you would make a great PEER TUTOR! Peer Tutors help fellow students succeed in class. It is an elective where you earn credit while making a difference! Please see your counselor if you're interested in becoming a PEER TUTOR next semester.

CHOIR FUNDRAISER:  Come to UNA MAS Friday, November 20 from 5-10 p.m. Mention Choirs when you order.

ATTENTION ALL CANYON DRIVERS- We have 50 spots in the student parking lot available.  If you would like a parking permit pick up the paperwork outside of the ASB office.  You will need proof of current registration and insurance, $20, and the school paperwork.  First come, first served!

MEETINGS

YOUNG POLITICIANS CLUB:  The Young Politicians Club will meet today, Thursday, during lunch in

A-6.  The subject for today's meeting is the proposed Health Care Initiative.  Please plan to attend today's gather, at lunch, in A-6, and bring your ideas and thoughts ... everyone is welcome to attend.

FELLOWSHIP OF CHRISTIAN ATHLETES CLUB is meeting is meeting Friday at lunch in G-206?  

There is a SPANISH HONOR SOCIETY meeting TODAY November 19th, at lunch in room D-2.  We look forward to seeing you! Gracias!

CHECKMATES CHESS AND BOARD GAME CLUB meeting Friday in G117.  Bring your lunch.  Chess lessons are available.

BIBLE CLUB:  Is meeting in the Choir Room at lunch. 

STUDENT TASK FORCE:  Is meeting in room G- 201 TODAY at lunch.

SENIORS

SENIORS: Now is the time to start looking at scholarship information.  There are 12 scholarships due in December.  A few of the scholarships only require a 2.5 GPA.  Please take a look at the Canyon website, under scholarships, for more information and links!
