GENERAL
ASB: Attention all students interested in applying for Spring semester ASB- Applications will be available starting Monday November 8th outside the ASB office. All applications are due by Friday November 13th.
AVID APPLICATIONS-- Are you a motivated, driven student who wants to attend a 4 year college after graduating from Canyon? Are you the first in your family to go to college? This is a great opportunity to become part of Canyon's AVID program. Applications are available in E5 at lunch or brunch and Ms. Jones will also answer any questions you have about joining AVID. Stop by to visit her or pick up an application in E5- they are due next Friday!
DO YOU WANT A DONUT? Are you a Renaissance Card holder? Then come to K-1 during brunch on Thursday, November 5. You must have your Renaissance Card and your ID card with you to receive one.
ATTENTION ALL STUDENTS WITH A YELLOW RENAISSANCE CARD: We are offering a trip to Knotts Berry Farm on November 20th. If you would like to go, pick up your permission slip outside the ASB office NOW. Turn in your paperwork with $40 and show your renaissance card. Space is limited. Tickets are on sale until November 13 at lunch.
COLLEGE OF THE CANYONS DANCE DEPARTMENT PRESENTS “CREATIONS!” November 5 & 6, 2009 at 8 p.m. at the Santa Clarita Performing Arts Center at CoC. Tickets are $5 and $10. Come enjoy an evening of amazing talent, including Canyon graduate Hailee Bowden!
ATTENTION STUDENTS!! Have you ever read a book, poem, essay or speech that really affected the way you view yourself or your world? If so, then enter this year's Letters About Literature writing competition. All you have to do is write a personal letter to an author explaining how his or her work affected you. It must be between 500 and 800 words. Your letter and your entry form must be turned into the library by Dec. 1, 2009. See your English teacher or Mrs. Limbaugh in the library.

HEALTH CARE CAREER SEMINAR: The Health Care Careers Seminar, which was scheduled for Thurs., 11/5 has been canceled and will be rescheduled during the spring semester.
GROUNDHOG JOB SHADOWING DAY: Attention juniors and seniors: Experience the "Real World of Work" on Groundhog Job Shadowing Day, which is scheduled for Tuesday, February 2. Shadow a business partner during the morning and attend a luncheon at noon. Students must provide their own transportation. Stop by the Career Center to pick up an application.
