GENERAL
ALL CANYON STUDENTS ARE REMINDED THAT WHEN WE HAVE A MINIMUM DAY, they may NOT visit other campuses, including Sierra Vista. Other schools are in full day session and it is a trespassing violation to be on their campus while their school is in session. Avoid disciplinary action and a trespassing ticket! Do not visit other schools when Canyon has a minimum day!

THEATRE: Attention!!! Auditions for the spring musical "Guys and Dolls" will be held November 9th. A mandatory meeting about the process will be held Monday November 2nd at 3:15 in the Q-Theatre. If you cannot attend, you MUST see Mrs. Pechacek in the theatre prior to auditions.
HALLOWEEN: Halloween is right around the corner!! Since it is on a Saturday, this Friday October 30 will be our costume day! There will be a lunch activity—so don’t be afraid to dress up! Remember --MASKS ARE NOT ALLOWED!!
ARE YOU HUNGRY? Want to purchase breakfast or lunch in Food Service? Effective immediately all students are required to have their ID cards in order to purchase food in the cafeteria. If you do not have your ID card then you must go to Register # 1 where you can only purchase a limited selection of items.
AMECI’S PIZZA on the corner of Sierra Hwy and Soledad is hosting a CHEER DAY fundraiser this Thursday, Oct. 29!! Just show your ASB card with any order, and a percentage of all proceeds from the day will go to support Canyon Cheer. Grab a bite for lunch or celebrate with a pizza after the Frosh Football team whoops up on Hart!!
ATTENTION ALL STUDENTS WITHA YELLOW RENAISSANCE CARD: We are offering a trip to Knotts Berry Farm on November 20th. If you would like to go, pick up your permission slip outside the ASB office NOW. Turn in your paperwork starting Monday with $40 and show your renaissance card. The first 54 students will be on the bus!

CAREER CENTER NEWS
POINT LOMA NAZARENE UNIVERSITY INFORMATION NIGHT: Meet with admissions representatives from Point Loma Nazarene University at the Hilton Long Beach on Thurs., October 29 from 7 - 9 pm and learn about programs and the admissions process. Stop by the Career Center for additional information.
HEALTH CARE CAREER SEMINAR: Meet with representatives from Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital and learn about a variety of careers in the health care field! The seminar will take place on Thurs., 11/5 during period 3. Pick up permission slips in the Career Center.
MEETINGS
OPERATION US: We will be presenting at Leona Cox next Monday November 2nd. All Operation US members need to attend a lunch meeting this Tuesday October 27th in E3.
BOOK CLUB: We are reading through chapter 23 in Memoirs of a Geisha. We will meet in H1 on Friday to discuss it. See you there.
SPORTS
GIRLS’ TENNIS: Varsity @ La Mesa 3:00, JV @ Saugus 3:00.
GIRLS’ VOLLEYBALL: Play at Golden Valley. Frosh & JV @ 4:00, Varsity @ 5:15.
SENIORS
MR. CANYON: Hey all Senior Boys!! Do you think you have what it takes to be the next Mr. Canyon, then show us what you got!! Applications are available now and they are due November 5th. Don’t be afraid to strut your stuff and try out!!
