TARDY LOCKOUT:  Starting TODAY students that go through Tardy Lockout without their ID will get an automatic lunch detention. 

 

CLASS RING ORDER:   

JUNIORS!  It’s time for your class to order their class rings.  Your class ring will rank high in the commemoratives of your “2011” Graduation.   Order now and receive your ring this Fall.

YOUR JOSTENS REPRESENTATIVE WILL BE ON CAMPUS FOR YOUR CLASS RING ORDER ON:

                                    A-M Thursday, Sept. 10th

WIFFLE BALL sign ups are taking place right now in room C-5.  Teams can include 4 members. All players welcome... co-ed teams, teacher teams, bring your friends to C-5 at both brunches and lunch and sign up.  Wiffle Ball is so easy Mr. Motherspaw could play. 

 

WATER WAR WEDNESDAY:  Are you ready to get wet and wild??  Then come to the welcome back water war activity today at lunch on the Outdoor Stage!  There will be games and music and did we mention that there will be prizes too???  So if you think you have what it takes, then come to the Outdoor Stage today at lunch.

 

ATTENTION STUDENTS: Are you interested in participating in Make a Difference Day on

Sat., Oct 24, 2009?  Please stop by the office and pick up application in the Administrative Office.  This event is a community service project sponsored by the City of Santa Clarita and HandsOn Santa Clarita.  You may also see Mr. Getz for more details.

 

ARE YOU IN AN ATHLETIC/EXTRACURRICULAR PROGRAM OR HAVE AN OPEN 7th PERIOD?  Some of you have received a 6th period sticker, but not a 7th.  If you did not receive a 7th period sticker, please come by the Assistant Principals offices with your ID and have your sticker put on as you wait, or drop off your ID to pick up later.  We apologize for the inconvenience.  It was our error.

 

THEATRE:  Ever wanted to play the games you see on the TV show "Whose Line is it Anyway?" Then join us in the Q-Theatre Wednesday from 2-4. We'll be hosting an improv workshop where we'll teach and play the games that will be used in the improv team auditions next week. No pressure - just show up and be ready to have fun!

 

DISNEYLAND TICKET RAFFLE:  Cowboys, are you ready for a trip to Disneyland?  There will be a raffle for a chance to win a set of 4 student tickets.  There are 15 sets, so you have 15 chances to win!  Raffle tickets are $1.00 each and you can buy them from any ASB Member.  Tickets will be sold thru September 18.

 

THE COUNSELING OFFICE will accept Pass/Fail forms through 9/11/09 this semester. You still have time to submit one.

 

TEXTBOOK DAMAGE WAIVER FORMS are due by Friday, September 4.  Drop them off in the blue bins in the textbook center or library.

 

ADULT AND JUNIOR ASB CARDS:  Are now in and available to pick up in the ASB Office—before school, brunch and lunch. 

 

CANYON CHOIRS FUNDRAISER:  TONIGHT at Jersey Mike’s in Canyon Country, from 5:00-8:00 p.m.  Bring your family and friends.  No flyer necessary!

 

CAREER CENTER NEWS

 

CSUN VISITATION:  Attention Seniors:  Meet with an admissions representative from CSUN and learn about the Cal State system on Tues., 9/22 at 10:30 in the Library.  Pick up permission slips in the Career Center.

 

THE MASTER’S COLLEGE VISITATION:  Juniors and seniors are invited to meet with an admissions representative from The Master's College on Thurs., 9/10 at 10:30 in the Career Center.  Pick up a permission slip in the Career Center!

 

AZUSA PACIFIC UNIVERSITY VISITATION:  Meet with an admissions representative from Azusa Pacific University on Monday 9/21 and learn about programs, financial aid and more!  Pick up permission slips in the Career Center.

 

NROTC SCHOLARSHIP MEETING:  Are you interested in applying for an NROTC Scholarship?  Meet with a representative from the Marines on Wed., 9/16 at 11:30 in Room H1 to learn about the application process.  Pick up permission slips in the Career Center.

ANIME CLUB: ANIME club will be meeting today in room G-220.

 

CHECKMATES CHESS AND BOARD GAME CLUB meeting Wednesday and Fridays in G117.  Bring your lunch.  Chess lessons are available.

 

HEY SPANISH 3 AND AP SPANISH STUDENTS:  Spanish Honor Society is having its first meeting on Thursday, September 3.  Come and find out what we are all about.  iMuchas Gracias!

 

INTERESTED IN HUMAN RIGHTS?  Want to learn more about genocide, child soldiers, and juvenile justice?  Come to the student Task Force meeting, Thursday at lunch in room G-201.  New members welcome.

SENIOR CLASS FLOAT:  Hey Seniors!  If you’re interested in participating in this year’s Homecoming Float come to G-101* on Friday, September 3 during lunch.  Our hero is Spiderman, so feel free to bring any ideas you might have!  Remember it is our last year, so let’s try and make it the best!!  GO CLASS OF 2010.  * Please note classroom change.
