CANYON HIGH SCHOOL

SCHEDULE CHANGES - Students were able to request changes to their schedules through the registration dates. Now that school has begun, students may NOT request a program change except for the following reasons:

* If they are missing a class

* If they need to add OR change their Student Service OR sport

* If there is an error (like the student is in the wrong math level)

* Adding Honors Chemistry

Students may come to the counseling office during their assigned brunch, lunch, before or after school on Thursday or Friday.

ROP: ANY STUDENT WHO IS TAKING AN ROP CLASS THIS SEMESTER MUST SEE MRS. OKRONICK IN THE ROP OFFICE ASAP. YOU MUST PICK UP YOUR ENROLLMENT FORM. ROP CLASSES START THE WEEK OF AUG. 17, 2009

CSF: If you think that your June '09 grades qualify you for the California Scholarship Federation, pick up a membership application-form in room C8, at lunch only, from Tuesday, 8/18, to Friday, 8/21. If you were a CSF member last spring and are currently a junior or senior, you will also need to pick up a volunteer-hours form. These forms are to be returned the following week, Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday. Freshmen who were California Honor Society members at Sierra Vista are considered honorary members of CSF this semester only if they submit an application.

BOYS SOCCER TRYOUTS: Tryouts will be held Monday, August 17 to Friday, August 21 at lunch on the CHS Main Football Field.

CROSS COUNTRY: If you are interested in joining the Cross Country Team, please see Mr. De Long in G-205 as soon as possible.

GIRLS VOLLEYBALL: there will be a meeting for any female student interested in trying out for the volleyball team at lunch on Friday in room B-4. No experience necessary.

GIRLS GOLF: Girls interested in Golf Team there will be a team meeting Wednesday, August 19 at lunch in E-1. Bring your lunch and we’ll talk about this year’s schedule.
