STAR TESTING SCHEDULE
Teachers and students will report to their Period 3 locations at 8 am each day for testing.

Period 1=7:20-7:55
Mathematics CST =8:00-10:30
Brunch=10:30-10:45
Passing time=10:45-10:51
Period 3=10:51-11:30
Passing time=11:30-11:36

You must attend 1 of the 5 preadministration sessions. Please have a pencil, and if attending during first or second period, please come straight to B lecture. Your period absence will be cleared. Otherwise, please attend the lunch session.
ATTENTION BOOK CLUB: Our last book for the year will be A Bend in the Road by Nicholas Sparks. If you want to join book club and read this book, come to the library by Thursday and let Mrs. Limbaugh know so a book can be ordered for you.
STUDENT TALENT RALLY: Got Talent??? Are you interested in performing in Canyon’s student talent rally--it is May 22. If you are interested, come to the ASB Office to sign up. The Sign –Up sheet will be posted starting next week. Don’t hold back that hidden talent.
PROM TICKETS ON SALE: ALL upperclassmen can now purchase Prom Tickets. Cost: $200 per couple with ASB card and $210 per couple without ASB card. The price goes up on April 22—it will be a flat rate of $235 per couple.

HEY SENIOR COWBOYS: Have you enjoyed your years at Canyon? Will you be hard to forget? You can apply for the Canyon Staff Scholarship. Pick up an application in the Counseling office or in
room G-105.
THE CANYON ACADEMIC BOOSTER CLUB is awarding scholarships to Canyon Seniors who plan to attend a 2 or 4-year college, and have a GPA of 3.5 or higher. Note, your parents must be members of the Academic Booster Club to be considered. Extracurricular activities and community service involvement will be evaluated. Please pick up this one-page application from the Counseling office, due to be returned by May 1, 2009.
WERE YOU EVER PART OF THE English Language Development (ELD) Program here at Canyon? THE CANYON ACADEMIC BOOSTER CLUB is awarding scholarships to Canyon Seniors who learned English as a Second Language here in the ELD program, plan to attend a 2 or 4-year college, and have a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Please pick up this one-page application from the Counseling office, due to be returned by May 1, 2009.

COC SUMMER 2009 SCHEDULE OF CLASSES: Every home in the Santa Clarita Valley was mailed a COC Summer 2009 Schedule of Classes. If you do not need yours, would you please bring it to the Counseling Office or put it in Donna Hettema's mailbox. It's a good way to recycle and help our students at the same time. Thank you.
