GENERAL
ATTENTION STUDENTS WITH AN OPEN 7TH PERIOD: You will have to exit campus through the Attendance Gate or the Student Parking Gate ONLY! There will be NO MORE EXIT thru the gate near North Oaks Park.
CURRENT 9th, 10th and 11th grade students who wish to apply for Honors or AP English may pick up an application from their English teacher. Applications are due on April 20. See your English teacher for more information."
CHS CHEER TRYOUTS ARE RIGHT AFTER SPRING BREAK! If you plan to try out, you and your parents MUST attend one of the two meetings held this week. The second meeting will be Wednesday, April 1. Meeting starts at 7 p.m. in the A-lecture hall. If you have any questions, see Ms. Soto in G228 this week!!

CAREER CENTER NEWS
CAMP CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL L.A.: Are you interested in exploring a career in nursing or health professions? Children's Hospital of Los Angeles will hold a summer camp for selected students from August 3 - 7. The applications, which include letters of recommendation are due on April 10, and may be picked up in the Career Center.

SENIORS
CSF—SENIORS: The Seal Bearer list has been posted outside C-8. If you want to apply for one of the scholarships ranging from $500 to $1,000, pick up a scholarship application in C-8. Applications will be accepted until Thursday, April 16 at 1:00.
SENIORS: Your Graduation Announcement orders are here!
Jostens will be on campus “ONE DAY ONLY” to deliver your graduation announcement order. Please pick up your order on: today--During Brunches and Lunch--Outdoor Stage
If you have a balance due it must be paid on this day……“CASH ONLY” will be accepted! Be on time and avoid shipping fees!
If you still need to order your Cap & Gown and/or Graduation Announcements, pick up a late order form from ASB Office now. Please turn in your order form on this day!
SEIJI ISOMOTO SCHOLARSHIP FUND: This fund is awarding $1,000 scholarships to Asian-American seniors who have demonstrated excellence in academics and athletics throughout their high school careers. To qualify,one or both parents must be Asian, and the student must have a 3.0 minimum GPA. Also, the student must have lettered in a Varsity sport and be college bound. Must be postmarked by May 2, 2009. Visit the counseling office for an application.
SANTA CLARITA VALLEY EDUCATION FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP: This scholarship will award up to $3,000 to local graduating high school seniors who have demonstrated an interest in pursuing a career related to education. Please come to the counseling office and pick up an application today!! Deadline is April 10, 2009.
SENIORS: Are you a male senior planning to go to USC? Then apply for the George Woolery Triangle Achievement Scholarship. Candidates will be evaluated on three criteria: academic success, demonstrated leadership, and excellence in organized athletics. For more information contact Steven Zhu [email protected] or come pick up an application in the counseling office. Deadline is April 5, 2009.
SENIORS: CORE (Chicano Organizing & Research in Education) is pleased to announce its first annual "Que Llueva Café" scholarship. Applicants must be undocumented, Chicano/Latino, high school students entering college this fall. The postmark deadline is April 10, 2009.
