GENERAL
OFF-CAMPUS PASSES: Over the past couple of weeks juniors and seniors have been coming into the main office for a pass to leave at lunchtime if they do not have their ID card. You may not leave campus until 1:00 if your ID is lost, stolen or forgotten and only then with a copy of your schedule.
SPANISH HONOR SOCIETY applications are due tomorrow! ¡Atención! Don't forget to get your current Spanish grade from your teacher or counselor. Tomorrow at lunch in D1 is the DUE date for ALL your paperwork for attendance, events, and community service hours. No exceptions! ¡Hasta mañana!
FOOD DAY is March 25 at lunch on the Outdoor Stage. There will be pizza, Chinese, tacos and Jamba Juice.
ROP CLASSES AUG. 09: ANY STUDENT WHO WOULD LIKE TO SIGN UP FOR AN ROP CLASS STARTING IN THE FALL OF 09 NEEDS TO GO AND SEE MRS. OKRONICK NOW.
CHS GOLD STAR BRIGADE is holding a Baja Fresh Fundraiser today from 5-10 p.m. Flyers are available in the Band Room.
POWDER PUFF FOOTBALL: Hey Cowboys—Canyon is having a Powder Puff Football game for all Junior and senior girls. Come out and be tough and play some football. And guys—show us your hidden Cheerleading talent! Pick up applications outside the ASB Office--don’t forget they are due March 27!!!!

COC INFORMATION SESSION: Attention Seniors: Are you planning to attend COC this fall? A COC Information Session has been scheduled for Tuesday, March 24 at 11:25 in the Library. You must attend the information session in order to take the Placement Test which will be administered at Canyon in April. Pick up permission slips in the Career Center.

SENIORS
SENIORS: The Sierra Flyfishers Foundation would like to award two $1,000 scholarships to a senior who has maintained a 3.o GPA and has been accepted to a two or four-year college in a program focusing on environmental science, forest resources or oceanography. Applications available in the counseling office. Deadline in April 17, 2009.
SENIORS: The 2009 Children of Law Enforcement and Fire Service Personnel Youth Scholarship Program offers $26,000 in funds to children of active duty personnel. This program rewards students who have excelled academically and are active in community service and extracurricular activities at their school. Applications available in the counseling office. Deadline is April 11, 2009.
SENIOR STARS: If you have been accepted to a 4-year college or university and plan on attending that school in the fall, please see Mrs. Hettema in the counseling office. We will make a star in your honor and place it in the new showcase cabinet outside the Counseling Office. Also, if you have received notice of any scholarships or awards, please let Mrs. Hettema know.
SENIORS: $750.00 Scholarships are available to students with disabilities who plan to attend a trade school, college or university. Documented disability: can be physical, learning, cognitive, etc. Applications available at www.incight.org. Deadline is April 1, 2009.
