GENERAL

OFF-CAMPUS PASSES:  Over the past couple of weeks juniors and seniors have been coming into the main office for a pass to leave at lunchtime if they do not have their ID card.  You may not leave campus until 1:00 if your ID is lost, stolen or forgotten and only then with a copy of your schedule. 

ROP CLASSES AUG. 09:  ANY STUDENT WHO WOULD LIKE TO SIGN UP FOR AN ROP CLASS STARTING IN THE FALL OF 09 NEEDS TO GO AND SEE MRS. OKRONICK NOW.

IMPROV SHOW: The Varsity Improv Team will be performing a hilarious show TODAY at 6 PM in the Q-Theatre. Come enjoy the unpredictable insanity! Tickets are $2 at the door.

CANYON THEATRE PRESENTS: the children's tale, "The Emperor's New Clothes" this Saturday March 21st at 12 Noon and 2 PM in the Q-Theatre. Tickets are $5 or $3 with ASB card. Come watch this wacky adaptation of the classic fairy tale.

MORP: MORP has been canceled.

CHS GOLD STAR BRIGADE is holding a Baja Fresh Fundraiser, Monday, March 23 from 5-10 p.m.  Flyers are available in the Band Room.

KEY CLUB EVENT:  Hey Key Clubbers!  If you would like to volunteer at the New Leash On Life Animal Shelter, then please go to room V-1 to sign up!

KEY CLUB AGENDAS:  If you did not get an agenda at our last meeting, then you can pick one up in V-1.

POWDER PUFF FOOTBALL:  Hey Cowboys—Canyon is having a Powder Puff Football game for all Junior and senior girls.  Come out and be tough and play some football.  And guys—show us your hidden Cheerleading talent!  Start picking up your applications March 9 outside the ASB Office---don’t forget they are due March 27!!!!

SENIORS

SENIORS:  $750.00 Scholarships are available to students with disabilities who plan to attend a trade school, college or university.  Documented disability: can be physical, learning, cognitive, etc.  Applications available at www.incight.org.  Deadline is April 1, 2009.

SENIORS:  Delta Sigma Sorority is offering scholarships to African American Females with a 3.0 GPA or higher.  To download an application or for more information please visit www.sfvadeltas.org . Deadline is April 1, 2009.

SENIORS:  If you have applied to California State University, Bakersfield... Check out the CSUB scholarships at http://www.csub.edu/FinAid/forms/index.html .  Deadline is April 1, 2009.

SENIORS:  The Civil Service Employees Insurance Company will award up to two $1,000 and eight $500 scholarships, based on an essay discussing ways the teenage automobile accident rate can be reduced.  So... if you have a 3.0 GPA and your parent or legal guardian is a peace officer, firefighter, educator, postal employee, military personnel, or federal, state or local government worker, you must apply today!! Applications are available in the counseling office.  Deadline is April 6, 2009.
