GENERAL

OFF-CAMPUS PASSES:  Over the past couple of weeks juniors and seniors have been coming into the main office for a pass to leave at lunchtime if they do not have their ID card.  You may not leave campus until 1:00 if your ID is lost, stolen or forgotten and only then with a copy of your schedule. 

ALL STUDENTS GOING TO DISNEYLAND this Friday with Renaissance MUST attend school that day. There will be an attendance check prior to boarding buses.

IMPROV SHOW: The Varsity Improv Team will be performing a hilarious show this Friday March 20th at 6 PM in the Q-Theatre. Come enjoy the unpredictable insanity! Tickets are $2 at the door.

MORP: MORP has been canceled.

CHS GOLD STAR BRIGADE is holding a Baja Fresh Fundraiser, Monday, March 23 from 5-10 p.m.  Flyers are available in the Band Room.

KEY CLUB FUNDRAISER:  Hey Key Clubbers!!!  There is a Panda Express fundraiser TODAY on Golden Valley near LA Fitness.  Hours will be given to those who attend.  Please bring back a receipt.

RALLY:  Friday, March 20 will be the ROCK OUT RALLY.  Canyon Spring Sports, Dance Team, Band, Improve and more will be your entertainment.  So be ready to rock in your rock start outfits to

KEY CLUB EVENT:  Hey Key Clubbers!  If you would like to volunteer at the New Leash On Life Animal Shelter, then please go to room V-1 to sign up!

KEY CLUB AGENDAS:  If you did not get an agenda at our last meeting, then you can pick one up in V-1.

BLOOD DRIVE:  Be a stud and give us your blood again! Canyon High school is hosting another Blood Drive on March 20th! Permission slips are in room G-105 Hurry and turn those in. WE NEED YOUR HELP

POWDER PUFF FOOTBALL:  Hey Cowboys—Canyon is having a Powder Puff Football game for all Junior and senior girls.  Come out and be tough and play some football.  And guys—show us your hidden Cheerleading talent!  Start picking up your applications March 9 outside the ASB Office---don’t forget they are due March 27!!!!

MEETINGS

YOUNG REPUBLICANS will meet Thursday in Room A-6 at lunch.  Everyone is welcome.  Please come, bring your lunch and we'll try and figure out how many trillions were spent on bonuses this week ... (bring your calculators)

STUDENT TASK FORCE: Meets today at lunch in room G-201.

MATH CLUB meets at lunch in room G-208. All students interested are welcome.

NATIONAL ART HONOR SOCIETY: Meeting TODAY at Lunch in room T4.

SENIORS

SENIORS:  The Civil Service Employees Insurance Company will award up to two $1,000 and eight $500 scholarships, based on an essay discussing ways the teenage automobile accident rate can be reduced.  So... if you have a 3.0 GPA and your parent or legal guardian is a peace officer, firefighter, educator, postal employee, military personnel, or federal, state or local government worker, you must apply today!! Applications are available in the counseling office.  Deadline is April 6, 2009.
