GENERAL

ALL STUDENTS GOING TO DISNEYLAND this Friday with Renaissance MUST attend school that day. There will be an attendance check prior to boarding buses.

CONGRATULATIONS to Cynthia Lapos for taking first place in Oratorical Interpretation in last weekends State Qualifier Speech and Debate tournament.  This qualifes her to go to the State competition on April 24- 26.  Garrett Cervetto will also go to State.  He took second place in Original Prose and Poetry at this weekend's tournament.  Congratulations also go to Michael Luong and Joshua David for going to the final round for Expository.  Congratulations to all!!

ATTENTION WANNA-BE ROCK STARS: Have you always wanted to be the next American Idol? A Rock Star? Win 50 bucks? All three? Then get yourself or a group of friends together to compete in the Thespian Society's Lip Synch Competition! Pick any school appropriate song to show a preliminary panel of judges what you've got on Friday March 27th at 3:15 in the Q-Theatre. If selected, you'll perform in front of an audience on April 10th at 6 PM for a chance to win $50. Sign up in the Q-Theatre today!!!

ROP CLASSES AUG. 09:  ANY STUDENT WHO WOULD LIKE TO SIGN UP FOR AN ROP CLASS STARTING IN THE FALL OF 09 NEEDS TO GO AND SEE MRS. OKRONICK NOW.

RALLY:  Friday, March 20 will be the ROCK OUT RALLY.  Canyon Spring Sports, Dance Team, Band, Improve and more will be your entertainment.  So be ready to rock in your rock start outfits to

KEY CLUB EVENT:  Hey Key Clubbers!  If you would like to volunteer at the New Leash On Life Animal Shelter, then please go to room V-1 to sign up!

KEY CLUB AGENDAS:  If you did not get an agenda at our last meeting, then you can pick one up in V-1.

BLOOD DRIVE:  Be a stud and give us your blood again! Canyon High school is hosting another Blood Drive on March 20th! Permission slips are in room G-105 Hurry and turn those in. WE NEED YOUR HELP

MORP: Canyon if we don’t sell 150 tickets for MORP by next TODAY it will be cancelled. If you want a dance, buy your tickets now!!!!  $10 with an ASB Card, $12 without an ASB Card and $20 at the door.  This is FOR CANYON STUDENTS ONLY!!

RENAISSANCE CARD HOLDERS: Your Disneyland trip is March 20, the cost is $70 and you can pick up trip slips outside the ASB office. The first 108 students to turn in their paperwork and money will go.

POWDER PUFF FOOTBALL:  Hey Cowboys—Canyon is having a Powder Puff Football game for all Junior and senior girls.  Come out and be tough and play some football.  And guys—show us your hidden Cheerleading talent!  Start picking up your applications March 9 outside the ASB Office---don’t forget they are due March 27!!!!
