GENERAL

PAJAMA BOTTOM DAY HAS BEEN CANCELLED!!!!   It has been moved to Thursday, March 5.  Keep in mind that you are at school, so the dress code still applies!!!

CAN FOOD DRIVE:  This is the last week of the Can Food Drive!!  Remember the 3^rd period class with the most cans wins a bagel party!

ACADEMY OF THE CANYONS:  Current 9^th – 11^th graders can get a fast track to college!  You can make a change and be a part of a unique, rewarding high school experience!  If you would like to learn more about Academy of the Canyons Middle College High School, you and your parents are invited to attend an informational meeting on Wednesday, March 4 in the Canyon High Library at 7:00 p.m. or at College of the Canyons Cafeteria on Wednesday, March 11 at 7:00 p.m.  Applications will be distributed at the meeting.

YIC FUNDRAISER @ MOUNTASIA THIS Friday FEB 27th from 3-11pm.  spend $19.99 for a 3hr pass, which includes: unlimited golf, go-karts, bumper boats, rock wall, laser tag, and regular video games

WINTER FORMAL PICTURES are here!! Pick them up in the ASB office during brunch and lunch only!!!

LETTERMAN JACKET SIZING: Wednesday, March 11th, Bruches only on the outdoor stage.

RENAISSANCE CARD HOLDERS: Your Disneyland trip is March 20, the cost is $70 and you can pick up trip slips outside the ASB office. The first 108 students to turn in their paperwork and money will go.

CAREER CENTER NEWS

HIGH SCHOOL MEDIA DAY:  Attend the High School Media Day at West Ranch High School on Saturday, March 14 and explore careers in film and TV.  Meet with professionals working in the industry and learn about required skills, job duties and educational requirements.  Stop by the Career Center for details!

THE ART INSTITUTE VISITATION:  A representative from The Art Institute, located in Santa Monica, will meet with students on Monday, March 9 at 10:25 in the Library.  Learn about programs in animation, culinary arts, digital video/audio production, game design and programming, interior design and more!  Pick up permission slips in the Career Center.

MEETINGS

CHECKMATES....we will meet in G-117  Friday at lunch...all are invited..if you do not know how to play, we will teach you...questions ask Mr. Clark in G-117

POKEMON CLUB COMPETITION:  Attention all Pokemon Diamond and Pearl trainers, don’t forget to sign up for the Pokemon Diamond and Pearl Competition TODAY.  Sign up in room E-4.

STUDENT TASK FORCE:  is meeting today in G-201 at lunch. 

MATH CLUB:  There is a Math Club meeting today at lunch in room G-208.

SENIORS

DIPLOMA NAMES:  All seniors need to check the diploma name list on the bulletin board outside the Health Office to make sure that their name is spelled correctly and that it is their legal name.  If you find an error, please see Mrs. Hettema in the Counseling Office immediately so that a correction can be made.  Otherwise, your name will appear on your diploma as it is written on this list.  All changes and corrections need to be made by 3:00 p.m. Friday, February 27, 2009.  Copies of birth certificates are required for all changes.
