GENERAL
COWBOY BASKETBALL: Come out and support boys' basketball teams as they play La Canada tonight in a scrimmage game. The JV boys play at 5:00 and the Varsity plays at 6:30. Admission is free, so come out and support your boys.
ACADEMIC AWARDS: Congratulations to all students who were honored at the Academic Ceremony last Wednesday night. If you did not pick up your Academic Letter, Lamp or Bar, please collect those from Mrs. Nelson in the AP Office during brunch or lunch, before or after school. Awards will be available for pick up through December 12th.
COWBOY ALUMNI BASKETBALL: On Wed, the Canyon Basketball teams will host their annual Alumni game. The festivities begin with the most recent alumni playing each other at 4:30. Followed by the girl's varsity basketball team playing the boys' JV at 6:00. At 7:30, the Canyon Varsity boys' will play the alumni in the main event. Come and join us for an evening of fun and prizes as we celebrate our past athletes and present. Admission is Free -- you don't want to miss this exciting event.
WOW! Do you like listening to books on tape but hate to carry around a CD player? Well, try listening to a book on a Playaway. You can use your own earphones or purchase a set for $1.00 when you check out a book. FIRST TIME FRESHMEN HAVE UNTIL NOVEMBER 30TH TO APPLY TO CAL STATE NORTHRIDGE FOR FALL 2009: California State University, Northridge, will cease accepting applications for first-time freshmen for Fall 2009 at the end of the priority filing period after the close of business on Sunday, November 30th, 2008. The early closure is necessary due to the large number of students seeking admission to Cal State Northridge during the initial application period.
