BASEBALL TRYOUTS will be held Nov. 24, 25, and 26. Interested students must have a complete physical examination. Pick up physical forms at the baseball field any day from 3:00 to 4:00"
SPRING MUSICAL AUDITIONS: There will be an informational meeting about auditions for the spring musical "Once Upon a Mattress" TODAY at 3:15 PM in the Q-Theatre. Auditions will be held the following week. It is strongly suggested that all interested students attend the meeting to learn the procedures and expectations of the audition process.
PARENT WORKSHOP! - On Wednesday, 11/5, "Resources in the SCV for Parents" will begin at 7pm in the library. Speakers from The SCV Youth Project, Child and Family Center and ACTION will present parents with excellent information to help students do and be their best. Don't miss this last meeting in our Parent Workshop series!

The Princeton Review is offering FREE practice SAT tests in Valencia and other surrounding areas. Please come to the Counseling Office for a flyer with the dates, times and other locations.

CANYON HOME FOOTBALL GAMES: Hey Cowboys- here are some reminders for our home games. NO Body Paint or Noise Makers are allowed. Also, NO Skateboards or Scooters are allowed anywhere on campus, which includes the parking lot and inside the gates of the football games. Also, please be reminded that once you enter the game and leave –YOU MAY NOT RE-ENTER. Bring what you need for the evening with you when you arrive at the game.

CAL LUTHERAN UNIV. OPEN HOUSE: Explore Cal Lutheran University, located in Thousand Oaks, on Saturday, Nov. 15 from 8:15 - 12:15. Students and their parents are invited to take campus tours, attend admission and program workshops and attend an Academic and Involvement Fair. Stop by the Career Center for registration information.
GEOSCIENCES CAREER SEMINAR: Are you interested in a career studying earthquakes, paleontology, volcanoes, oceanography or environmental issues? Geoscientists study the behavior of the Earth's systems. Learn about the many career opportunities in Geoscience on Friday, Nov. 7 at 9:15 in the Library. Pick up permission slips in the Career Center.

FIRST TIME FRESHMEN HAVE UNTIL NOVEMBER 30TH TO APPLY TO CAL STATE NORTHRIDGE FOR FALL 2009: California State University, Northridge, will cease accepting applications for first-time freshmen for Fall 2009 at the end of the priority filing period after the close of business on Sunday, November 30th, 2008. The early closure is necessary due to the large number of students seeking admission to Cal State Northridge during the initial application period.
