WE WANT YOUR BLOOD:  There will be another blood drive for Nate here at Canyon High on Friday, October 24.  Please stop by G-105 for details.  Don't wait, reserve your spot today. 

 

ATTENTION ALL STUDENTS: Homecoming tickets are on sale NOW in the ASB office.  $15 with ASB card, $17 without ASB, and $20 at the door.  Off campus guest pass can be picked up at the office as well, but they need to be turned in with money by October 31st.  No off campus guests will be allowed in at the door!  Buy your tickets today!

 

NCAA CLEARINGHOUSE MEETING/PRESENTATION for students and parents at Canyon High School Wednesday October 22nd from 7:00 to 8:00 PM.

 

ATTENTION ALL STUDENTS:  Mr. Gene Del Vecchio, author of The Pearl of Anton and The Sword of Anton, will be visiting on Thursday, Nov. 6 during 4th period (10:15).  He will be speaking about how writers get published.  We will be selling copies of his books for $13.00 and you can get them signed by the author.  To attend the visitation, pick up a permission slip in the library.

 

CHOIR FUNDRAISER:  Come to Jersey Mike’s in Canyon Country on Wednesday, October 22

from 5-8 p.m. to help support all of our Choirs. 

 

DISNEYLAND CONTEST:  Come purchase your ticket for a chance to win 4 Youth Disneyland tickets, good until December 11.  They are $1 a chance and can be purchased from any ASB Renaissance student.  Winners will be drawn on October 22 and the tickets will be delivered the next day.  Only $1 for a chance of 4 Disneyland tickets.

CAREER CENTER NEWS

 

KODAK CAREER OPPORTUNITIES:  Are you interested in photography?  Meet with a representative from Kodak and learn about part-time job opportunities at Six Flags Magic Mountain.  The meeting will take place during brunch on Thur., 10/23 in the Career Center.

 

MAJORQUEST AT COC:  MajorQuest provides high school students with an opportunity to find out "Who Do You Want To Be?"  In a fair-like setting students can explore college educational programs, meet with faculty and find out about educational pathways.  MajorQuest will take place at COC's Valencia campus on Oct. 21 from 11 - 2.  Flyers are available in the Career Center.

 

MOUNT ST. MARY’S VISITATION: A representative from Mount St. Mary's College will meet with juniors and seniors on Wed., 10/22 at 8:00 in the Career Center.  Pick up permission slips in the Career Center.

CAL LUTHERN UNIVERSITY VISITATION: Meet with an admissions representative from California Lutheran University on Tues., 10/21 at 9:20 in the Career Center.  Stop by the Career Center for a permission slip.

 

FIDM VISITATION:  A representative from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising will meet with students on Tuesday, Oct. 21 at 11:20 in Room H1.  Learn about programs such as Digital Design, Fashion Design, Graphic Design, Jewelry Design and more!  Pick up a permission slip in the Career Center.

 

MEETINGS

 

LEAF CLUB: Hey all you environmentally aware cowboys! LEAF Club meeting on Monday,

October 20th. In room K-5.

 

OPERATION US:  Completed Mint Canyon permission slips can be turned in to Ms. Mast in E3 as soon as they are complete to guarantee your slot.  We will be meeting Wednesday October 22 at lunch to select and practice roles, and to distribute Leona Cox permission slips. 

 

127 BIBLE CLUB: is meeting today in the Choir Room at lunch.
