GENERAL

ROP CLASSES STARTING JAN. 09, IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN TAKING AN R.O.P. CLASS STARTING NEXT SEMESTER, YOU MUST SEE MRS. OKRONICK IN THE R.O.P. OFFICE STARTING THE WEEK OF OCT. 13^th, 2008.

FRESHMEN HOMECOMING FLOAT MEETING:  There is a meeting on Tuesday, October 14^th during lunch in room E-1.  Please bring a $3.00 donation for pizza.  Drinks will be provided.  Hope to see you there. 

SAT EXPRESS: Do you need prep help fast? Kaplan is offering a condensed course for those who have limited time to prepare & want a good basic skills review. Classes will be at Golden Valley starting Sat. 10/18. Informational flyers are available in Counseling office. :)

TICO’S TACOS:  Come out and support ASB on October 15^th at Tico’s Tacos, previously Wanna Iguana.  Bring your flyers all day.

CAREER CENTER NEWS

COLLEGE INFORMATION RECEPTIONS:  The following schools will hold Information Receptions in the Los Angeles during October: Bowdoin College on Oct. 15^th at the Westin Pasadena and Lehigh University on Sun., Oct. 19^th in Los Angeles.  Stop by the Career Center for details.

CAMPUS OPEN HOUSES:  The following Universities will hold Open Houses in the near future:

UC Merced - Sat., Oct. 18^th, Occidental - Sat., Nov. 8^th, Vanguard - Nov. 10^th and 11^th

CAL STATE APPLICATION WORKSHOP:  Seniors planning to apply a Cal State Campus are invited to attend a CSU Application Workshop on Wednesday, October 22^nd at 11:20 in the Library.  Pick up permission slips in the Career Center.
