HEY ALL YOU RENAISSANCE CARD HOLDERS! Don’t forget to bring your renaissance card and student ID to the Rally on October 1. We will be raffling off some pretty snazzy prizes—which you must be present to win. See you there!!!!
THE SCV HISTORICAL SOCIETY is sponsoring the Heritage Haunt this year during the month of October. There will be bands, haunted tours, a pumpkin carving contest, food, games and more. Canyon's AVID program is selling tickets for $8. Please see any AVID student or come to room C4 at lunch to buy tickets.
BOOK DISCUSSION: If you ordered a copy of A Long Way Gone: Memoirs of a Boy Soldier, it has arrived. Please bring $11.50 to Mrs. Limbaugh in the library. Please read to Chapter 9 by Friday.

ASB 4TH/RENAISSANCE is offering a day at Disneyland to all Renaissance cardholders on Oct. 10. The cost is $60 and includes tickets, bus, and chaperones. Busses leave school at lunch and will return after the park closes at midnight. Tickets are available in the ASB office and must be purchased by Wednesday Oct. 8th. Since you will be missing afternoon classes, this is open to Renaissance card holders ONLY."
SWIM FUNDRAISER: Come support Canyon’s Swim team TODAY at Baja Fresh, located on Soledad Canyon Road. Dine in or take out from 5-10 p.m. and our Swim Team gets 15% of the sales. Pick up a flyer in T-1 from Coach Himes.

CAL ARTS CAP PROGRAM: Stop by the Career Center to learn how you can take free classes at Cal Arts! The CAP Program at Cal Arts, in partnership with the Boys and Girls Club, will offer classes such as photography, digital media and music. INFORMATION SESSIONS: The following universities have scheduled Information Sessions in the Los Angeles area: Tufts University on Sun., Sept. 28 at the Sheraton Universal, Washington Univ. in St. Louis (Architecture Program) on Mon. Oct. 20 in Santa Monica, Stop by the Career Center for registration information.

PERFORMING ARTS SCHOLARSHIP FOR SENIORS: The FRIENDS of Arts Education at the Cerritos Center are offering scholarships to seniors who wish to pursue a career in the performing arts. Scholarships are available in the following five categories: classical voice, dance, drama, instrumental music, and musical theater.
