GENERAL

BLOOD DRIVE FOR NATE:  Thursday, September 25, we will be taking a bus to Kaiser.  If you would like to go and donate blood for Nate, you must see Ms. King in G-105 for paperwork.  Show that Cowboy spirit and sign up today.

ALL CANYON STUDENTS are reminded that when we have minimum day here at Canyon, they are still expected to attend their ROP classes unless instructed other wise by their ROP teacher.

THE SCV HISTORICAL SOCIETY is sponsoring the Heritage Haunt this year during the month of October.  There will be bands, haunted tours, a pumpkin carving contest, food, games and more.  Canyon's AVID program is selling tickets for $8.  Please see any AVID student or come to room C4 at lunch to buy tickets.

ASB 4^TH/RENAISSANCE is offering a day at Disneyland to all Renaissance card holders on Oct. 10. The cost is $60 and includes tickets, bus, and chaperones. Busses leave school at lunch and will return after the park closes at midnight. Tickets are available in the ASB office and must be purchased by Wednesday Oct. 8th. Since you will be missing afternoon classes, this is open to Renaissance card holders ONLY."

SWIM FUNDRAISER:  Come support Canyon’s Swim team on Thursday, September 25 at Baja Fresh, located on Soledad Canyon Road.  Dine in or take out from 5-10 p.m. and our Swim Team gets 15% of the sales.  Pick up a flyer in T-1 from Coach Himes. 

CAREER CENTER NEWS

UCLA VISITATION:  An admissions representative from UCLA will meet with seniors on Wednesday, Oct. 1 at 9:20 in room H1.  The representative will discuss the application process and UCLA.  Pick up permission slips in the Career Center.

MEETINGS

SPEECH AND DEBATE:  Speech and Debate Club meeting is on Tuesday from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m.

127 BIBLE CLUB:  127 Bible Club is meeting today at lunch in the Choir Room.
