CLASS RING ORDER: JUNIORS! It’s time for your class to order their class rings. Your class ring will rank high in the commemoratives of your “2010” Graduation. YOUR JOSTENS REPRESENTATIVE WILL BE ON CAMPUS FOR YOUR CLASS RING ORDER ON:

OPERATION US: Operation US training day permission slips are due to Ms. Mast in E3 by this Tuesday September 16th. We will be meeting at the front of the school at 7:50 am on Friday September 19th. See you there!
ALL CANYON STUDENTS are reminded that when we have minimum day, they may NOT visit other campuses, including Sierra Vista. Other schools are in full day session and it is a trespassing violation to be on their campus while their school is in session. Avoid disciplinary action and a trespassing ticket! Do not visit other schools when Canyon has a minimum day!
Attention all Juniors :Connecting 2 Success- Do you want to find a job or internship? Do you want to meet business professionals? Do you want to participate in an off campus training event? Do you want to meet local business and community members?
If so…than this program is for you!
Connecting to Success is a high impact workforce preparation program in a business conference format. Students are transported to an off campus meeting site for a day filled with relevant information and exercises designed to prepare for the world of work.

YOU HAVE CRUISED THE STREETS—NOW OWN A PART OF THEM: Canyon’s Choir is having a raffle for a Santa Clarita Valley Street Sign at Back To School Night, Thursday, September 18. Raffle Tickets are $5.00 each. You may purchase the raffle tickets in the Choir Room, located in building “Q”.
DRESS CODE: Students are reminded about the dress code at Canyon High School. Crop tops, halter tops, low cut blouses, see-through or backless shirts and swim suit tops are NOT ALLOWED!! Also, gang styles, accessories, symbols and clothing modifications are not allowed. T-shirts with graphics which depict anti-social behavior, controlled substances, alcohol beverages, violence, or sexual activities are prohibited.

CAREER CENTER NEWS
USC VISITATION: A representative from USC will meet with juniors and seniors on Thursday, 9/18 at 8:00 in room H1. Juniors and seniors may pick up permission slips in the Career Center.
COC JOB & CAREER FAIR: COC has scheduled two Job Fairs this fall! The first will take place at the Valencia campus (100 + employers) on 9/24 from 11 - 3 and the second fair will take place on 10/8 at the Canyon Country campus (30+ employers). Pick up a flyer in the Career Center.
MEETINGS
SPANISH CLUB: Attention Spanish 1 and Spanish 2 students –there will be a Spanish Club meeting tomorrow at lunch in D-2. Take advantage of this exciting way to learn Spanish. Everyone is welcome.
127 BIBLE CLUB: 127 Bible Club is meeting today at lunch in the “Q” Choir room. Everyone is welcome.
SENIORS
SENIOR BBQ: Seniors, you must pick up your entrance wristbands before 1st and 2nd period and at brunch on Wednesday, September 17, in front of J-1. Don’t forget to wear your senior shirt and to bring a sharpie, camera and ID Card. See you there.
MR. CANYON APPLICATION: Hey all you senior boys out there, do you think you have what it takes to be the next Mr. Canyon? If so, come to the ASB Office at brunch and lunch from Monday, September 15 to Friday, September 19 to pick up your application. Let’s see if you really have what it takes to strut your stuff!!
