GENERAL

WORK PERMITS:  If you have already turned in your paperwork to renew your Work Permit to

Mrs. Ruppert in the office—they are now ready for pick up.

ROP is pleased to announce the opening of "VIRTUAL ENTERPRISE".  This hands-on/start and run a full-fledged business is exciting and motivating.  Students will establish and run a "virtual" company, which includes products, company positions, business decisions, and  communication/negotiations with other virtual companies both in the US and abroad.  The class will also include field trips, guest speakers, and possible Virtual Enterprise Trade Show participation. We currently still have some openings.   Students see with Mrs. Okronick the ROP Advisor for more information or to sign up.  The class meets Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:15 - 6:30 p.m. at Golden Valley (Room 604).

ALL STUDENTS:  If you have not had an ID card made for this year please come to the textbook center during brunch or lunch to have one made.  Remember all students must have an ID card.

MAKE UP PICTURE DAY:  Is Wednesday, October 1st, Before school, brunch & lunch in room U-8.

JUNIORS AND SENIORS:  Those of you wishing to leave campus at lunch time remember that your ID is required.  If you have forgotten your ID you will need to remain on campus until 1:00. At that time you will be allowed to leave with a copy of your student schedule.

NORTH OAKS PARK:  No Canyon student or staff is allowed to park at the North Oak Park lot.  The City of Santa Clarita will ask the Sheriff's Dept. to begin ticketing all vehicles illegally parked.

FOOD SERVICE: A student may purchase food without an ID.  However, the State requires Food Service to ask for an ID to purchase CERTAIN food items.  An ID will make service much faster.  If a student does not have an ID, the student might be asked for their number and the cashier would have to punch it in themselves.  This slows things down a bit.  It is best to have an ID, but still, a student may purchase food without an ID.  Thank you, and we are sorry for any inconvenience this has caused.

BOOK DISCUSSION GROUP:  The Book Discussion Group is starting TODAY.  If you would like to read some great books and meet other students to chat about them, please come to our first meeting TODAY at lunch in H1 (please note the new location).  Bring your copy of Thirteen Reasons Why and we will discuss that and have suggestions for the next book.  See you there.

ATTENTION ALL STUDENTS!!  Starting immediately, it will cost $.10 per page to print from the computers in the library.  Please try to have exact change.  You may only print one copy of your item - No Class Sets.

REMINDER TO ALL STUDENTS:  Textbook damage forms are due back to the textbook center by Sept. 5th.  If you have lost the form you received at registration come to the textbook center to get another.
