GENERAL

Adult ASB Cards can be picked up at the Home ticket booth tonight at the game.

CANYON FOOTBALL GAMES:  A reminder to students that once you enter the football game and leave-YOU MAY NOT RE-ENTER.  If you need a sweater, blanket etc., remember to bring it in with you when you arrive.  Footballs, Skateboards, and Scooters are NOT allowed in the stadium or parking lot—DO NOT BRING THEM WITH YOU!!!  Noisemakers are not allowed per CIF regulations and that using Noisemakers can result in a forfeit of the game.  ANY inappropriate attire (clothing, accessories, headgear or body paint) will result in entrance refusal and possible removal if non-compliant. 

 

ENTRANCE TO THE GAME:  If you have a Canyon ASB card you can get into the game free of charge.  Parents that have an adult ASB card will get in home games free.  If you don’t have an ASB card it is $8.00 for adults and high school students.  Children through Jr High is $5.00 IF you are with an adult.  If you are a Jr High student without an adult the cost is $8.00 to enter. 

 

NO ONE IS ALLOWED ON THE FIELD AT THE END OF THE GAME

 

GOOD MORNING STUDENTS:  Last year the visitors from WASC commented that ours was the cleanest campus they had ever seen.  We need your help to maintain such a great reputation!  Please throw your trash in trash cans and your recyclable bottles in the blue recycle bins.  Thank you!

THE LAST DAY TO DROP AN ROP CLASS is Tuesday, September 2nd.  Please see Mrs. Gaines in the ROP office to drop your ROP class.

 

IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO GO Paris and Rome with Señora Lewis during spring break, come to room D7 for information.

 

REMINDER: TEXTBOOK DAMAGE WAIVER FORMS ARE DUE BY SEPT 5TH.  DROP IT OFF IN THE BLUE BIN AT THE LIBRARY.

 

 

 

 

CSF – Bring your complete application for CSF to the library this week during lunch only. CSF applicants are expected to strictly adhere to all deadlines.

Volunteer hours sheet (available online on the library’s website)

$15 dues (If paying by check, make it out to Canyon ASB)

For Freshman who were CJSF members at Sierra Vista

            $5 dues (If paying by check, make it out to Canyon ASB)

 

MEETINGS


POLITICAL DEBATE CLUB will meet TODAY at lunch in E1.

HELPING HANDS will have their first meeting on Tuesday, September 2 at lunch in C7. This is a mandatory meeting.

CHECKMATES CHESS CLUB, YU-GI-OH and Vanguard and other board games meets every Wednesday and Friday in G-117.  Bring your lunch.  Questions see Mr. Clark in G-117.Checkmates Chess Club, YU-GI-OH and Vanguard and other board games meets every Wednesday and Friday in G-117.  Bring your lunch.  Questions see Mr. Clark in G-117.

 

OPERATION US: If you want to be in Operation US this year you need to attend our next meeting at lunch in E3 on Tuesday September 2nd. If you are going to our training day bring your completed permission slip! If you are not attending the training but want to be in Operation US this year you will need to register with Ms. Mast at our meeting.

 

LATINO DANCE CLUB-Club Latino de Baile: Are you interested in showing your pride on Mexican traditional dances, or would you simply like to learn how to dance Latino music, such as cumbia, salsa, and merengue? Come and join us weekly on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday in room AA1. Let's have some fun! Experience is not required. Hope to see you there!
