THERE IS NO LATE START WEDNESDAY THIS WEEK!

 

GENERAL

 

THEATRE PRESENTS OUR FIRST ANNUAL "COFFEE HOUSE VARIETY NIGHT" this Friday April 25th at 7 PM. $5 gets you in the door for an evening of comedy, singing, dancing, slam poetry, monologues, and musicians...and if you're feeling bold, join them during our 30 minute open mic. Bring extra cash for concessions, Starbucks, and our 50/50 raffle.

 

ASVAB Interpretation today at lunch in Room G-228!

 

ATTENTION -- all students planning to take AP exams this year:

AP Pre-administration meetings will be held Tuesday April 22, Wednesday April 23rd, and Thursday April 24th at Lunch in the Q-Theater. You MUST attend one of these meetings to fill out your paperwork for the AP exam. Bring a number two pencil and something to write on!!

Any questions or problems attending please see Mrs. Bacon in the counseling office.

 

SUMMER SPORTS:  Pick up packets for the summer sports program in the Front Office or the ASB Office.  When completed turn them into the ASB Office.

 

YEARBOOKS ARE GOING, GOING, AND ALMOST GONE…. Yearbook distribution is right around the corner and we have a limited number of books left to sell. This is your last, that's right we said LAST chance to purchase your 2014 book. They are $100 first come first served. Get to ASB before you get stuck looking over someone's shoulder peeping their yearbook because you forgot to order one.

 

AP ECONOMICS REVIEW: If you took AP Economics in the fall semester and are planning on taking the AP Exam next month, Mr. Smith will be conducting AP reviews every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday at lunch in room A-5. The reviews will begin on Monday, April 21, and run thru Wednesday, May 14.

 

THE UCLA BLOOD DRIVE IS BACK:  The blood drive will be held on Thursday April 24.  Sign up in Mr. Cuny's room, C-6.  For giving blood you get a cookie and a free movie ticket.  Be brave, give blood, and save a life.  Go to Mr. Cuny's room, C-6, during brunch and lunch to sign-up. 

 

 

MEETINGS

 

MATH HONOR SOCIETY!  Don't forget our meeting today at lunch in G216.  We'll be hearing about how to save for your future with Mrs. Arnold.   Also anyone who interviewed for a leadership position in the Math Honor Society for the 2014-2015 school year, the new officers will be announced by Friday!  Thanks to all who applied!

 

ANIME CLUB is meeting today in room G-220. Hope to see you there!

 

BELIEVE CLUB:  Is meeting Wednesday in room F-2---Come join us for some fun Christian activities!

 

THURSDAY AT LUNCH IS THE BIBLE CLUB in the A Lecture Hall.  Come and hear our guest speaker this week, Ricky Stoner.   Come and see what he has to say and have some fabulous home-baked goodies.  Everyone is welcome!

 

CHECKMATES CHESS CLUB and YU-GI-OH Club meet every Wednesday and Friday and G-117.  Bring your lunch. Questions ask Mr. Clark

 

POLITICAL DEBATE CLUB:  Meets every Friday at lunch in room E-1.  New members always welcome!

 

SENIORS

 

SENIORS:  If you would like to represent your class by giving a speech at graduation, auditions will be held on May 14 from 8 to 9 am and from 1 to 3 pm.  You can pick up information outside of the Assistant Principals' offices, where there will also be a sign up sheet.  One applicant will be selected.  Sign up early to get your preferred time slot.  See Dr. Keyne if you have any questions.  Good luck! 

 

SENIOR STARS:  If you have been accepted to a 4-year college or university and plan on attending that school in the fall, please see Mrs. Hettema in the counseling office.  We will make a star in your honor and place it on the Senior Stars bulletin board outside of the counseling office.  Also, if you have received notice of any scholarships or awards, please let Mrs. Hettema know.
