GENERAL
ATTENTION ALL STUDENTS: Please DO NOT come up to the Counseling Office to try to look at or change your spring semester schedule. Schedules will be handed out next Thursday in your 2nd period class. You will be able to request changes on Thursday or Friday by using the green program change form.
Jazz/Pop--Are you talented? Are you the next American Idol or The Voice winner?? If so, you should be part of Jazz/Pop! On Wed., the 17th at brunch in the Q Theater, there will be an informational meeting. If you want to be part of this fabulous performance, please come to the meeting! Looking forward to amazingly talented performers!
CANYON THEATRE PRESENTS the hilarious fall play, "The 39 Steps" in the B-Lecture Hall TODAY, and Saturday at 7 PM. Tickets are $10. For a sneak preview, you can catch the student matinee at 3:15 on Wednesday for $5!
STUDENTS, if you are planning on attending Winter Formal, but have violated the new Attendance Privilege Program by having over 30 tardies or 15 truancies in the fall semester, you must visit the SRC and fill out an appeal as to why you should be able to attend. These appeals will be accepted and reviewed prior to the dance.
If you are on the non-dance list, but would still like to purchase a ticket at the low prices they are right now, you may do so, but those tickets will be held until the appeal is reviewed.

ATTENTION COWBOYS: Do you have a locker in the locker room for a PE class or athletics? All lockers will need to be emptied and all locks will need to be removed in the Boy's and Girl's Locker rooms by Thursday, Dec. 18 at 1 pm. Our custodial staff will need to clean and sanitize all lockers to ensure they are clean and ready to be used next semester. ---Any locker that isn't emptied or any lock still on the locker will be cut and the clothes will be donated to a shelter. ---Please help us with this very important task. NO STUDENT SUMMONS DURING FINAL EXAMS: STUDENTS please note there are NO student summons delivered during Final Exams. If you need to leave during class bring a note from your parent to the Attendance Office before finals that day. We WILL NOT call your parents and ask them to excuse you early for any reason. The Attendance Office WILL NOT deliver student summons during Final Exams to remove you from class. ALL students need to stay during the entire exam period out of respect for all the other classes in exams.

MEETINGS AND TRYOUTS
RED CROSS: There will be a Red Cross meeting TODAY. There will be information to become CPR certified and make Holiday cards for Veterans. See you in room G 219 at lunch.
HEY KEY CLUBBERS: We are having a meeting in the theater today at lunch. This is our last meeting for the semester and attendance will be taken.
AUDITIONS for Canyon's 5th period advanced acting class are TODAY.. Sign up for a time slot on the door to the B-Lecture Hall.
BOYS VOLLEYBALL TRYOUTS TODAY at lunch in the Aux gym. Bring shorts and tennis shoes. See Coach Cody in the boys locker room for more information.
BOYS TENNIS TRYOUTS will be TODAY starting after school at 3:10 pm. Meet at the tennis courts. Before tennis tryouts please see Coach Bristow in room K6 to place your name on the tryout list and get information about the joining the team.
CLASS FOR JUNIORS AND SENIORS
NEXT SEMESTER there will be a 1st period Introduction to Visual Communications. This is one of Canyon High School's Career Pathway classes. It is connected with College of the Canyon's Multi Media and Design Degree program which is also connected to the Cal Arts program. If you are interested in this class please talk to your counselor or Mr. Lee in V-1 today.
