GENERAL
MAKE-UP PICTURES ARE BEING TAKEN ON MONDAY, SEPT. 22ND IN H-1,BEFORE SCHOOL, BRUNCH AND LUNCH. If you want a retake or didn't take your picture at registration, and want it in the yearbook, Monday is the day for that!
CANYON FOOTBALL GAMES: A reminder to students that once you enter the football game and leave YOU MAY NOT RE-ENTER. If you need a sweater, blanket---remember to bring it in with you when you arrive. Footballs, Skateboards and Scooters are NOT allowed in the stadium or parking lot—DO NOT BRING THEM WITH YOU!! Noisemakers are not allowed per CIF regulations and that using Noisemakers can result in a forfeit of the game. ANY inappropriate attire (clothing, accessories, headgear or body paint will result in entrance refusal and possible removal if non-complaint.
HOMECOMING IS HERE CANYON COWBOYS. Make sure to buy your tickets for “A Journey through Disney” Saturday, September 20th from 7-11 pm. Tickets are $10 w/ an ASB card, $15 without, and $20 at the door.
LEADERSHIP: REMINDER: Reminder, get your invitation signed, and return it on Monday to the mandatory meeting at lunch in the Q theater.
PSAT STUDY GUIDES AVAILABLE: If you are taking the PSAT test, please come up to the Counseling Office today to pick up a copy of the PSAT Study Guide. The test will be given on Saturday, October 18 at 7:45 am.
SWIM TEAM TRYOUTS: If you are interested in trying out for the swim team the first day of tryouts will be held October 6th at 2:30 at the SCV aquatic center please check the athletics website for more information
SUPPORT GROUPS: Are you a student that is dealing with some tough challenges and you could use a little more support? We have TWO SUPPORT groups starting on campus: one is for Girls and the other is for Guys. So let a teacher or a counselor know and we can have the SCV Youth Project meet you and let you know about the groups!
ARE YOU INTERESTED IN GOING TO CHICO STATE? They are having a fall Open House if you want to visit the campus, have a tour, meet with reps, learn about financial aid, and more! Chico Preview Day is Saturday, October 25th, 2014 from 9am to 3pm. To register go to www.csuchico.edu/admissions or call 1.800.542.4426. This event is free.
COME PLAY THE “COOLEST” SPORT ON CAMPUS. The Cowboy Lacrosse Club will be having a meeting Tuesday, September 23 at 12:30 in room G-210. If you want to play this year be there. All levels of experience are welcome.
ARE YOU INTERESTED IN ATTENDING BROWN UNIVERSITY IN RHODE ISLAND? Their college reps will be in the Los Angeles area on Monday, September 22nd, 7:00 pm in the Los Angeles Center for Enriched Studies in the Auditorium, 5931 W. 18th Street, LA 90035. JUNIOR and SENIORS: There are over 7000 colleges in the United States. Do you need help deciding which colleges could be a good match for you? The Counseling Department is going to start College Counseling workshops every Tuesday during 6th period. If you are interested, please sign up in the counseling office. The first workshop will be on Tuesday, September 23rd.
SEPTEMBER IS NATIONAL HUNGER AWARENESS MONTH. Join Cheer, Football and ASB in our month long food drive. With your donations of canned food or personal hygiene items, we can help support the local food banks. Boxes are located in the front office or you can bring any donations to our home game TONIGHT. No one deserves to go hungry. Let’s show our community that Canyon High is committed to helping end hunger. Donate today!
COLLEGE VISITS ON CAMPUS! We have several colleges that will be on campus, in H-1, during 5th period and into lunch (during lunch for about the 10 minutes) - save the date for colleges that might be a MATCH for you! More info to follow.

ANIME CLUB: Come to room K-4 during lunch today and join the Anime Club! Here we will learn about our favorite stories, learn how to draw Anime, and have a terrific time! Everyone is welcome! See you there!
CHECKMATES CHESS CLUB Checkmates Chess Club, YU-GI-OH and Vanguard and other board games meets every Wednesday and Friday in G-117. Bring your lunch. Questions, see Mr. Clark in G-117.
