GENERAL
MEN’S CHAMBER ENSEMBLE--If you wanted to join the Men's Chamber Ensemble, but were unable to come yesterday, please come today at lunch to the A Lecture Hall.
ATTENTION STUDENTS! When you log on to the computers in the labs at the start of the year, your password has been reset to your 6-digit birthday: 2 digits for month, 2 digits for day of month, 2 digits for year. You will be prompted to change your password. Click "yes" and change it. You can keep the same password as your default. Make sure you reset your password with something you'll remember, and keep track of what you set it to.
CSF - Applications for CSF (California Scholarship Federation) will be available from TODAY to Friday Aug. 22 in the library. You can also access the application online through the library website. Look for the CSF link in the “Departments” section of the web page.
ARE YOU TAKING THE SAT SOON? Are you interested in a SAT review? If so, Canyon High is offering a SAT review for only $95! These type of classes usually cost a few hundred dollars. Tier One, one of the largest SAT prep companies in Southern California, has once again offered to hold prep classes for college bound Canyon Cowboys. Please visit the counseling office for more information.
REMINDER: TEXTBOOK DAMAGE WAIVER FORMS ARE DUE BY SEPT 5TH. DROP IT OFF IN THE BLUE BIN AT THE LIBRARY.
TRYOUTS
ATTENTION BOYS SOCCER PLAYERS: Tryouts will be held next week, August 25th, 26th, 27th and 28th. From 3:30 to 5:30 at Sierra Vista. Any player interested in playing for Canyon this year needs to attend all four days of tryouts. PLAYERS NEED TO MAKE SURE THAT THEY HAVE ALL NECESSARY ATHLETIC PAPERWORK COMPLETED. Scheduling conflicts need to be worked out with Coach Benavidez prior to tryouts. Coach Benavidez can be found contacted via email at [email protected].
SOFTBALL will be holding tryouts TODAY and Thursday at 3:15 on the Softball field. If any athletes have any questions go see Mrs. Meschkat in room AA-2.
GIRLS BASKETBALL TRYOUTS will be held on August 21st & 22nd from 2:00-4:15pm in the main gym. If you have any questions please see Ms. Haayer in the Girls Locker room.

MEETINGS
BIBLE CLUB--The first meeting of the Bible Club will be Thursday at lunch in the A Lecture Hall. Come and enjoy some good discussion, good food, and good fellowship! Everyone is welcome!
OPERATION US: Join us for our first meeting of the year at lunch in E3 on Monday Aug. 25th! We go to local elementary schools to teach 6th graders about diversity, acceptance, bullying prevention and sensitivity towards others. Have fun, help people and make new friends. All are welcome. See Ms. Mast in E3 if you have any questions.
